How To Unlock the Unlimited Potential of Your Mind

Writing, creativity, and astral travel

A creative mind at work (a Midjourney render of author’s prompt)

What’s going through your mind right now?

What topic do you see and where did it come from?

It could have come from nowhere. Or, it could have come from everywhere.

I had an experience that may help you answer this question.

On February 17, 2022, I discovered a new way to gather inspiration for ideas and writing. And I want to share that with you now.

Exhasusted yet alert

I’m exhausted on a Thursday evening, but it was only about 9:30, and I felt like I needed to lay down for a few minutes.

I imagined that I was in my mom’s front yard in Hawaii, the house where I grew up. My plan was to use that as a jumping off point to explore the Universe.

So, I mentally projected myself on the surface of Mars.

This happened instantaneously.

One moment I’m in Hawaii. The next, I’m exploring Mars.

It’s sounds crazy, but it’s far from it.

From there I traveled to the sun and drifted inside its center to see how hot it was and what it looked like.

A quick tour of the Universe

From the sun, I travelled to the center of the Andromeda galaxy where I stayed for 10 minutes.

There, I noticed the center of the galaxy had a solid black sliver. A kind of rectangular band that split the galaxy in two.

I went inside the sliver of blackness and felt as though there was a pulsation on my body. Almost like a tactile blinking.

It felt as though the galaxy was putting pressure on my body. Pushing things inward, but also with a reverse force that was pulling on my body at the same time.

The force stretching my body outwardly. It wasn’t painful or uncomfortable. The sensation, new.

Reflection on projection

Days later, as I reflected on my “astral projection,” I realized there’d be no way of knowing if what I experienced was real or my imagination.

I know my physical body wasn’t in a galaxy that’s 2.5 million light years away, but what if what I saw and felt, is actually what’s there?

I realized I would never know the truth, but it didn’t matter.

I experienced something I would have never experienced had I not rested that day. And had I not tried to project myself to another galaxy in the first place.

Something new is never old

I now have a new experience. One that will help me improve what I write about, and how to describe things that I’ve never experienced. I will continue to do this to see what else it may reveal.

Although I have no experience with meditation, I assume this is one of its many benefits to exploration and creativity.

Have you had an experience like mine? If so, I’d love to hear about it.

To me, this experience comes from the untapped potential in all of us.

Our power to imagine, process, and reveal the hidden secrets of the universe. Secrets contained within the very cosmic particles in our body, soul, and mind.
